Terms and conditions

Please be aware that by starting the consultation process, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Before the consultation, kindly ensure that you complete any provided questionnaires accurately and return them to your behaviourist/trainer at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to do so may result in information gaps that will need to be addressed during the session. Rest assured that any information shared will be treated with strict confidentiality.
  2. We solely employ positive reinforcement and force-free training techniques, which demand patience and commitment from the dog’s caretakers. The achievement of a successful outcome also depends on your proactive involvement and regular updates on your progress throughout our engagement. Failure to communicate and provide updates may impede progress.
  3. Training packages are offered at a preferential rate and provide continuous support within a specific time frame to ensure consistency and progress. Packages should be used within 3 months unless otherwise agreed. Clients are responsible for scheduling their sessions within this period, as recommended by their behaviourist/trainer.
  4. All individual consultations, training sessions, group classes, puppy packages, and behaviour packages must be paid in full and in advance, unless otherwise agreed. Payment plans may be offered for packages only, upon request from the dog guardian, and will be agreed and confirmed in writing.
  5. Full payment is required to secure your place in a group class or a one-to-one session. This protects our diary and helps ensure availability of our services for all clients. Failure to make payment within 48hrs of a service being agreed will result in cancelation of the spot or time slot, and you will need to contact us to re-book, subject to availability. Unpaid sessions and classes cannot be attended. We aim to send one reminder per client before cancelling unpaid sessions and class places, however, responsibility for making payment to secure the service remains with the dog guardian.
  6. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. If sufficient notice is not given and the place or time slot cannot be filled, charges may apply. Please note that last-minute cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable, and the session will be considered used.
  7. If you need to cancel your participation in a group class (indoor or outdoor) after the class has started, your class fee will not be refundable. Depending on the circumstances, if the cancelation is for reasons beyond your control, and more than half of the booked sessions remain unused, at your trainer’s discretion, you can be offered a one-to-one session to make up for the unused group sessions.
  8. The behaviourist/trainer may use personal judgment and cancel a training session or cut it short if necessary, due to safety or welfare concerns, or if the dog’s specific needs require it. In such cases, depending on the circumstances, the session (or part of it) can be rescheduled. Refunds will only be considered as a last resort, at the behaviourist/trainer’s discretion.
  9. Please be respectful to your dog behaviourist/trainer. We will not tolerate any abuse or rudeness. The behaviourist/trainer reserves the right to cancel an appointment or follow-up consultations/training sessions without prior notice.
  10. It is your responsibility to keep your dog under control during consultations/training sessions, including when session takes place at your premises. You will be held liable for any injuries caused by your dog being out of control.
  11. Dogs with a history of biting must wear a muzzle, please discuss the requirements with your behaviourist/trainer prior to any in-person consultation/training taking place. We cannot accept responsibility for dogs that are not muzzled or kept under control during our sessions or outside of them.
  12. While we maintain insurance coverage through Pet Business Insurance, please note that any accidents or injuries occurring during our behaviour consultations and training sessions will not be covered if you fail to use appropriate equipment or neglect to follow our advice.
  13. We offer a monthly membership program for owners who have successfully completed one of our 1-2-1 packages or classes, the membership needs to be booked within one month of completing the package/group class. The membership provides ongoing professional guidance and support, not emergency behaviour intervention. It does not replace a full behaviour consultation where one is required. If new or escalated behavioural issues arise that fall outside the scope of the membership, your behaviourist may recommend an additional consultation. There is no minimum commitment period and the membership can be cancelled at the end of the current month, please provide at least one week notice.
  14. Occasionally, we may capture photographs or videos of your dog to assist in the consultation process. Your trainer may share success stories about your dog on social media, along with related photos and videos. If you do not wish for us to do this, please send an email to your trainer specifically requesting so.

Please review and confirm your understanding and agreement with the aforementioned terms and conditions before proceeding with the consultation process. By booking a consultation/training session, you acknowledge and accept the above terms and conditions.
